Name of creator

Beginning in 1830, prominent members of The Episcopal Church endeavored to publish an annual directory containing the names and addresses of all diocesan offices, parishes, bishops, clergy, seminaries, conference centers, social agencies, religious orders, publications, and other agencies affiliated with the Church, including information on all provinces in the Anglican Communion. Later editions of the Church Annual, beginning in 1943, also provided statistical reports of national church trends on education in Episcopal schools, lay ministries, and parochial reports along with highlights of wider church activities including General Convention debates, ecclesiastical trials, and meetings of major church organizations.
